Winfred Onyas

She is a Lecturer in School of Business University of Leicester. She is also a Principal Investigator in the project, “Bridging the Digital Gender Divide to Stimulate Growth in African Digital Economies” focusing on Uganda, Ghana and the UK. This project is funded by the UK Research and Innovation & the Global Challenges Research Fund and is a partnership between the University of Leicester, Makerere University Business School, University of Ghana, African Technology Business Network and Gender & Policy Insights. Our partners in Uganda include Hive Colab, Women in Technology Uganda, Jim Roberts, Simply Group and South Eastern Private Sector Promotion Enterprise Limited; and in Ghana, hapaSpace.

She concluded a project on “Exploring the nature and prospects of frugal innovation in Uganda” by the British Academy International Partnership and Mobility Scheme (2016-2019) – a partnership between the University of Leicester and Makerere University Business School.
